CDT Mile: Mile 2'618.1

Camping at: Budget Express, Helena
We got up and still haven't yet decided what to do. Piper and Duskman texted that they are heading out today. I thought we will do the same and figure out resupply while hiking. But then it seems easiest to stay here another day, use this day to go shopping and relaxing had send the food boxes out tomorrow morning. Influeneced by our decision also Piper and Duskman decided to stay, I think that's awesome! We will share a hotel room to keep costs lower.
As we have to wait till 3pm to check into our new room, we go for a walk. Helena seems to be deserted today, I guess because of the public holiday. Most restaurants are also closed, so is also the all you can eat sushi place. I am super sad I don't get to enjoy that buffet at all, looking forward to it since ages! But can' change it. We find a bagel and coffee place which was open and hang out there for a while. Soccermum has the great idea to check out the movie to theater and so we spend the afternoon there, watching Top Gun 2 and stuffing our faces with buttered popcorn! The day passes in no time. I was hoping to upload my blogs, have an afternoon nap and relax, but time just runs too fast on town days! Straight after the movie we walk to Safeway, a 2 miles walk to get there. On our walk there we pass the beautiful cathedral of Helena and shortly visit the church. Someone is practicing the organ. Resupplying at Safeway is kinda hard this time, as we have to resupply for two days out of Helena, then think ahead for the 6 day stretch out of Augusta where we send 1 resupply box to and another 5 days of food for East Glacier, where we will send our second resupply box. So much thinking! Our backpacks are loaded with so much food and super heavy on our 2 miles walk back to the Motel. I am tired and hungry. Together with Piper and Duskman we go out for dinner, may our last dinner on trail in a proper restaurant (I don't know if Augusta or East Glacier have restaurants). As not much is open we end up at this bar/restaurant, which was a former whore house! It was again a suprisingly warm night and we enjoyed dinner outside on the patio.
