Day 119: Nearo day Ashland

Date: 04.08.2018 Miles hiked today: 2.2 Miles / 3.5 on Total Mileage: mile 1'720.9 After last night I slept in as long as I could and just went for breakfast 10 minutes before it closes. There i met a german couple again whom i believe I've seen the last time in Hiker Heaven around mile 450! They were ahead of me and hiked to Crater Lake already but returned here because of the heavy smoke. After that and a shower I felt better again. I could have gone straight back to bed but we had to leave our room, sadly. So we packed up and left, all still very tired and hang over! Christian, another Swiss hiker I met the night before for the first time, has rented a car and offered to give us a lift back to the trailhead around lunch time. Our hotel is located about 2 miles from the Center but there are a few fast food restaurant close by. We decide to have a burger at Wendy's. Fast food is what I need after last night! Christian writes me that he can't make it before 1pm, so we just hang around outside where we still have some wifi signal, looking like homeless people. We pack out our sleeping pats and lay down at the floor. Christian arrives shortly after 1pm and that means that our lazy time is over and we are heading back to trail, not really feeling it yet! While driving out of Ashland we also pick up Poke and Spicy, who are trying to get back on the trail too. The car is really filled now :) Helter, Apachi and Fearweather are at the trailhead too and together we start hiking. After less than two miles Parmesan has already found a suitable camp spot! That's too early come on guys! :) but only 10 minutes later, when we pass another suitable camp spot and after hiking 2 miles today, we decide not to only break here but to set camp! That's my shortest day on trail I believe and the earliest I've set camp, it's not even 3pm! Haha!:) well I can also do with a rest and updating my blogs while Parmesan and Duchess nap. But I must have fallen asleep too. I wake up when Duchess starts to cook dinner. So I get up and join her just to fall back in my tent less than an hour later:) what a lazy day! 

Tired all day long, that night last night was just too good :) haha!
