Day 83: ⛺ @ mile 1023.2 - ⛺@ mile 1044.1

Date: 29.06.2018 Miles hiked today: 20.9 Miles Total Mileage: Mile 1044.1 It was a very cold night and I did not sleep very well. It hasn't been cold at night for a while now. Yesterday we checked the elevation profile and thought it will be an easy day without too many ups and downs. We soon shall learn our lesson. All day was a rollercoaster hike with steep ups and downs. When will we ever be done with them? But the terrain was nice. We stop for breakfast on top of the second uphill hike before we hike on with new energy until lunch time. We take our time and even nap for an hour. 9 more miles till our camp site next to a little lake. But there is a last and long uphill to climb before that. I'm out of energy and I really struggle with this uphill. Also whenever I stop I'm surrounded by moskitos, they are back, nooo! So I can only really stopp for a second or two. The view from the saddle however is worth it. The landscape reminds me of Frodo's and Sam's home from Lord of the Rings. A little later I reach the tent site. Someone is there already, one tent is pitched. On the app it says you can easily fit a couple of tents here but this tent site doesn't look that great. The ground is very uneven. The good thing however is that despite that the spot is right next to a lake there are not many moskitos around. Two more hikers arrive. I quickly save the best possible spots for us, as Joanne and Giggles haven't arrived yet. Its more than an hour later when they finally make it here. It's about time to cook dinner and go to bed. We plan for another 20+ mile day tomorrow!

I Love these green moss which you can find on many trees

This mountain consists only of boulder. How cool!
