Day 51: 6th 0 Day in Kennedy Meadows

Day: 28.05.2018Miles hiked today: 0 miles Total Mileage: Mile 702.4 Today is the last day in Kennedy Meadows. We have decided to move on tomorrow, but slowly. Plus, we are only going to Lone Pine which is about 47 miles ahead. There we check on the snow conditions again before we are going to hike on and to climb My. Whitney. 

We ordered breakfast and while waiting for being served finally Hauser and Jason turned up! Where have they been that long??! Well they spend 2 more days I Lake Isabella with some trailangels and hiked across some fabulous trail magic on their way here and decided to stay there for lunch, dinner and breakfast the next day! I guess I would have done the same so I can't blame them ;) 

Also Fran, John and Philly arrived here today. It's a bummer they are hiking a day or so behind us and not with us. But they plan in doing a looong hike section in the Sierras and may either catch up or pass us then. 

Soon after lunch also Irene and Peter, joannes siblings which will join us on the hike for the next couple of weeks, finally made it and arrived here. Its really nice to see Irene again!  Also peter who i haven't previously met is a really nice guy. Irene brought all my stuff I have send here from San Diego. Warmer cloth, sunglasses,  microspikes etc. I'm busy all afternoon with packing up food, changing clothes, attending an ice axe use information class, posting boxes ahead etc. Therefore, i really deserved my burger for dinner which hardly fit in my mouth!
