Day 34: ⛺ @ mile 466 - Casa de Luna
Day: 11.05.2018 Miles hiked today: 12.5 miles Total Mileage: Mile 478
The sun left last night and would not come back today. The fog took over. And why we wished for some colder temperatures the last few days we wish for some extra degrees today. The day was cold and moist but the hike was easy and we arrived at green valley just before 11 am. Green valley has the right name.
Everything is very green, so much different from the hot and dry desert we just came from. We headed to the only Restaurant here and met Hauser, easyCompany (Paul) and Jason again! They want to move on but we are still all sitting here more than an hour later (they finally stayed another night!). Next to Kermit (rahel) we now also have a trailname for Joanne - or actually we have two. Shortcut or Joe Dirt 😂😂😂 because of her haircut and the short banges! And I finally had to accept the trailname given by Kermit and dirty jo a while ago - Mr. Freeze!! I don't think you need an explanation to that :)
It started to rain in the afternoon and temperature dropped to about 10 degree celcuis - what a change from Agua Dulce! We are all tired and cold. The Restaurant here offers nice Food and drinks but only an outside sitting area and all the hot heaters run out off propane! So we move on to Casa de Luna which is a trailangels House I was also looking forward to. But also there you are not alowed to enter the House which normally is no Problem (I heard it is very hot here too) but with this rain and temperatures it would have been nice. However, there was a sheltered place where all of us hikers squashed together. Casa de Luna has a massive garden or better forest in the back garden where we can pitch our tents between the trees. It is Really nice. Hikers would paint stones which are all over. Gadgets and Paul played songs on the Guitar, we chatted, had some drinks and enjoyed. At 7pm Dinner was being served, which consisted of Nachos, tomatoes, Salad, beans, cheese, onions and sour cream. Not my favourite but it is Food. (I had some cereals later in my tent). We got some drinks too but the alcohol hits you very fast here so after 2 drinks dirty jo had to bring my back to my tent 😂. I slept well that night - or better I passed out
