Day 29: ⛺ @ mile 395 - ⛺ @ mile 415

Day: 06.05.2018 Miles hiked today: 20 miles Total Mileage: Mile 415

We slept in today till 6am and that was the best we could do. Just when we finished packing up, Kermit arrived shortly before 7 am. She obviously made it to the ski hut and had a fabulous evening, starting with margaritas (which she also missed because her late arrival), followed by spaghetti and homemade Mojitos! How amazing is that! I whished we would have been there too! But thanks god we a are all together again! Because we did not show up Kermit assumed us to be staying at this camp ground and got up very early to hike the 3 miles to our campground in the hope to catch up with us again within today.

I was still very tired and the miles still didn't pass by as they were used to. Not even 5 miles in we passed the 400 mile marker and decided to have breakfast there too. 2 miles later we passed some weekend hikers which offered us some drinks. Would be prude to say no to this offer! Again only few miles later we passed the next trailangel, cooking scrambled eggs and bacon for us. There was a table filled with food and drinks too! Oh man, that is so wonderful but doesn't help with moving on and with getting our heavy food in our backpacks eaten. But no way I could turn fresh and nice food down! Thank you so much fancy pants, that breakfast was awesome! It took us a while to leave this place :). That was the last trailangel we passed today. There are still more than 10 miles left which we have to hike today. So better keep on moving. Finally, a last uphill hike before we want to set camp and we are done for today. But because of the wind and some comments about that camp site being very exposed we decided to camp 0.5 miles ahead where it shall be better sheltered. Joanne somehow did not hear us or forgot about it again and kept on walking pass by that site! She left a little earlier so we could not remind her again. Kermit and I pitched tent at this spot, while Joanne decided to stay 0.5 miles ahead of us. It was a beautiful evening with an absolutely amazing sunset! I wished I could make better pictures of it!
